Music

There is something about music that is private and personal.

If a mosquito listens to a piece of music, would the sound be able to produce the same effect, as it does to our mind? I often wonder.

If there is someone who cannot appreciate the music, would this beautiful harmony turn into a noise?

Why am I permitted to feel this emotion when I listen to music? Why is my heart pounding as I let go of my self fully and yield to the harmonious sound? I feel like I am floating, being taken by the wave in the ocean, while listening and immersing myself to the sound. It feels as if I am one with music, vibrating together, and I am also becoming an essential piece contributing to this beautiful sound.

Is it just me who can feel this emotion?

I believe God has permitted everyone equally a chance to appreciate music. I cannot be the only one who has access to this private exercise.

Stop your life for a while and forget about every responsibility, every preoccupations, everything you have to do, and just take a moment to breathe and to listen to the sound around you. It might take a couple minutes. Maybe little longer than that. But you start hearing something. Then, when you hear it, you will be touched by it. You feel you are alive for the first time in a while. You feel you are reviving. You feel you are loved. You feel your arm, back, and the entire body is standing up. And, this happens when you are listening to the sound of life, the music that has been on since the moment of your birth.

Whether you choose to listen to it is entirely up to you, but remember this: sometimes you feel as if God is talking to you through music, and that is when you cry and rejoice with happiness. At that moment, you cannot help but to say, “I am ALIVE!!”
